"The activities today have helped me understand how to build relationships and networks gradually. I used to think it is the responsibility of the host community to build relationships, but now I understand that relationships are built gradually, and on both sides." - Participants from Athy

Why It Matters

Breaking Down Barriers to Inclusion

New communities face barriers to inclusion β€” complex systems, unclear information, and cultural misunderstandings. Host communities and front line workers need better ways to build trust and provide effective support.

β€œMany people are unaware of their rights and entitlements and information is often inaccessible or not easily available”

β€” The European Anti-Poverty Network (EAPN) Ireland, 2025
